I fully understand how daunting the composition application process can be, especially with many schools lacking the resources to fully support a conservatoire application. I am here to ease that process to make sure you stand out amongst the crowd in your composition portfolio and more importantly your interview.

I have first hand experience with the world's leading conservatoires.

And received a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music.

The application process consists of three to five steps, depending on the conservatoire. Here they are in order of when they need to be submitted.

1. UCAS application - personal statement and references

2. Composition portfolio - Typically 3 pieces showcasing a range of styles

3. Pre-Test - Either a theory test or short composition task

4. Pre-Interview - Analysis of a score that you will be asked to discuss in your interview (usually given 30 minutes before the interview starts)

5. Interview - Typically questions discussing your interests, inspirations and a composition inspired brain teaser.

£30 for 60 minutes

Sessions with me can range from a discussion through your UCAS application or advice on how to strengthen your portfolio to mock interviews with pre-interview material provided before the start the lesson.
